Description of EZGO TXT & Medalist 1994-Up Golf Cart Front Coil Shocks - Set of 2 (Heavy Duty)

Installing front heavy duty coil shocks allows your golf cart to perform better with the added weight of passengers, cargo or aftermarket accessories. Heavy duty coil over shock design that withstands an additional 100 lbs! Hard to believe but the "King" knows his golf carts!. Installing these coil shocks will make your cart ride rough from the start but will loosen up over time. (Might be the last time you ever put shocks on the front of your cart). Fits the Following Cart(s): 1994-Up EZGO TXT/Medalist gas and electric models. (Will not fit on Marathon or RXV Golf Carts & May be installed as a rear shock in certain applications. Bushings are included and already installed on the shocks.

Raises front end 2 " for shock absorbers

Great product. Did what I wanted. Helps support the weight of a full adult shopping cart. This will raise your front suspension by about 2 inches. So be prepared to raise the rear or your car will look like it's squatting. You will also need to lengthen the steering shaft to a 2 inch stroke. To ease installation, remove the front leaf springs. I did it the hard way by lowering them with a railroad pole. It took 2 people. Afterwards, readjusting the springs with the steering disengaged makes…

  • Very good value

Perfect position for my setup!

They fit my 98 EZGO txt. The front was easy to install, but the back was a bit tricky. As for the rear, luckily I replaced them with heavy-duty leaf springs so I could remove them so I could get a bump that way. The spring washer was too big to fit around my U-bolts so I just folded the bushing in half. A confident ride that will hopefully loosen up a bit over time, but the stance is perfect for the stock setup. Raised about 3 or 4 inches in the back and about 2 inches in the front. Tires no…

Very good but. Make sure your specific shopping cart fits.

Reading other reviews I saw that they were used front and back so I bought 2 pairs. I tried mine, but the front travel was about 3 inches more than the rear travel. I have a 2014 ezgo txt. I ended up just using the rear as extra support for the rear seat I installed where they work great to support the leaf springs with the weight of the extra passengers on board. I ended up installing the original simple front shock absorbers to level the car.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in white

Very impressive! on shock absorber

I can't get enough of this company! You saved the day! You can see my original batch was lost and I had to critically rebuild the rear seat suspension of a 2013 EZGO TXT in three days. They sent a replacement overnight. I'm so impressed with them. These kicks are meaty! The quality of these shock absorbers and their leaf springs is remarkable! I originally intended to place them on the back as another reviewer mentioned. But honestly I don't know, my husband just didn't have enough free play to

Works great but after some adjustments

So I installed a 3" Jakes lift kit. With 14-inch and 23-inch tires, I could chafe the front fender when going down steep hills. I am in North Georgia. "So there are hills in the courtyards. To install them, I lifted the cart off the frame and lifted the tires 3 inches off the ground. I removed both old shock absorbers. Then loosened the front springs. Mounted from above, then pressed onto the tire and mounted from below. No questions. 1997 Ezgo txt. The ride height is now perfect and no longer…

Will update the review once I've mounted it.

Received on time. The dampers look good and match my medalist. However they differ from the photo in that I have an exposed chrome rod running inside the spring rather than the black tube (smaller diameter) as shown in the picture. As there were no instructions included and to be sure (I've seen photos of both ways online) I called Golf Cart King (the techs) to ask which way the spring goes up or down and was told that she goes upstairs. Although I and the rep agreed, it really doesn't seem to…
