resists bad coloring and makes it MUCH better

Really evens out color, resists bad coloring and makes it MUCH better. Takes some time when using the turn buffer. Random orbital doesn't work, it's better to use rotation. I wet the 2000 sand, wipe it down with water, and then run this product with a rotary buffer. You might have to tap it a few times, but it seems to get better with each app.

Good product, nice finish

Good product, nice finish. I see some questions about its aggressiveness compared to other Meguiar products and thought I could help shed some light. Without sounding too much, the m85, m101 and m105 do the same job. The difference between them lies in the application. The M85 is designed for rotary polishing only. Microfiber application pads. So when you're looking for the next best blend, remember that a blend is only as good as the application. It's up to you to find a balance between the…

Have been using it for years!

Have been using this product for many years. I work for a body parts dealer and have recommended it to many shop owners who have now switched from 3m to Diamond Cut 2.0. It works great with a reversible buffer, I paint cars from the side and have always used it after color sanding. It cuts quickly without much spatter. Tip: If you end up with some dry paste on the surface of the car, just apply some fresh paste to the spot with your finger and rub until the paste is loose, then buff. To update.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not fashionable

missing name but good product for oxidized fiberglass gelcoat

Like the previous reviewer, this item has no name, it's "85" Meguiar, not "80". That's good because I wanted 85 instead of 80. I've used a full liter of this product every year for 4 years on the oxidized gelcoat of a 12 year old 40ft fiberglass boat. it does a good job. I use a full size variable speed polisher, spinning slowly at around 2000-3000 RPM, starting with a new 9" wool hat each time, light to medium pressure. The reason I like using Meguiar's 85 is that the actual polish is pretty…
