☕️ Melitta MEFB6W White Coffee Maker: Fast Brew, Programmable with Digital Features Review

I haven't set the brewing strength yet, but I like the speed and warmth of the coffee when brewing. Better than other coffee makers we've tried.

After a month of use the heating element was showing signs of wear. Then it got to the point where you couldn't use the product anymore. Sounds like the whole coffee maker is about to explode. I sent the item to a repair address and haven't heard anything since.

Frustrated Melitta has discontinued the old FastBrew design. Mine has finally expired after over 10 years of faithful service. Bought it as a replacement and was not disappointed. It's fast. Boils HOT. It's difficult to fill as the lid doesn't open more than 120 degrees. Makes GREAT coffee and the timer is intuitive. Cleaning is easy and did I mention it's FAST? Highly recommended.

Our experience with the Melitta 12-cup pressure brewer was disgusting. After two months of use, we couldn't get rid of the strong plastic taste in our coffee. . We have tried all known means to rid the device of the separated filtrate, but nothing helps. So we went back to using our five-year-old Braun, which guarantees us coffee in the morning. In our opinion, the Melitta MEFB6W teapot is an unacceptable product.

Everyone says so, but I ignored it; How hard is it to avoid spills and drips? Almost impossible, as it turns out. I solved the problem of filling the tank with a sink. That includes putting the coffee maker next to the sink for refilling, but that's no big deal. What frustrates me the most is that the carafe always spills a few drops when you stop pouring. But Melitta Fast Brew is fast, which is why I bought it.

I have been using Melitta cone filters in various coffee machines for over 30 years and in my opinion this is the best brewing method there is. So I expected more from this Melitta car. I find it difficult to fill without spilling, hard to see the water level in the clear window, and it brews decidedly weak coffee. Adjusting the "brew strength" makes no noticeable difference. Like many other reviewers here, I found the major downside to this machine is when you try to pour water . Basically you have to push the lid a little further than it looks and it's difficult to fully tilt the carafe in this small space. The water eventually runs down the side of the carafe which needs to be wiped down before you put it on the stove and sometimes you accidentally spill water in the filter basket which then spills all over the stove.
