Blue Magnetic Dust Cover for Steel Table Saws - Micro Jig MDC-17 Review

This really helped reduce the amount of dust on my SawStop PCS. However, I have to be the only one who hated the sight of light blue and yellow vinyl taped to the front of my saw. So I painted it with a coat of black gloss varnish and now it's barely visible on my saw. It's easy to cut to your liking and paint to match your saw.

To make our Sawstop PCS a little bit better in terms of dust removal we bought it. From the front, the car looks decent, but we didn't notice a big difference in dust collection. We've improved air duct collection by hooking up a shop vacuum to the dust port on the shoulder and the 100mm chip/dust extractor to just the main port at the foot of the saw. Note that this only works for 90 degree cuts as you will need to remove it when you tilt the blade for miter cuts.

I installed a new Saw Stop table saw, contractor model. Very disappointed with the vacuum cleaner. There was a lot more sawdust than I was used to. There is a very large clearance cutout in the front panel of the saw. I fitted this magnetic dust cover to the front of the saw and dust collection has greatly improved. This magnetic dust cover covers the gap in the front metal cover of the saw. Easy. This item should be standard on every SawStop table saw.

For the most part I expected that. Simply cut with scissors to fit your saw. The decal is ugly and silly, especially considering the print has to be upside down for my saw. I quickly blew Unisaw Gray and this issue is resolved. I don't know how much a basic magnet sheet costs, but I would go this route if I were to buy again so I don't end up with an ugly billboard print or having to paint them. and decided to sell them.

Microjig make great products. I use their safety products on my table saw and router table all the time. Dust is always a health and cleanliness issue when working with wood. My Jet JPS table saw has a dust collection function and a 4 inch Delta dust bag. Dust collector, but light dust. This reduces the vacuum in the protruding part of the blade.
