A 1TB SSD is NOT REALLY 1TB! BEWARE BUYERS

$2400 for "1TB SSD" which is actually not a 1TB SSD - BUYERS BEWARE. RAID 0. Windows does not recognize the SSD as SSD and treats the RAID 0 array as HARD DISK; rendering TRIM inoperable and useless. If even the slightest problem occurs on ONE of those two drives, your Surface becomes an expensive paperweight and your data evaporates. It is STRONGLY recommended to use cloud backup software on these devices if you are storing important information locally. Microsoft's incredibly underhanded and…

I am very happy with it. You will not regret if you buy it.

I bought a Surface Pro i5 8GB RAM. The device replaces both the HP Ultrabook and the iPad. The Ultrabook is still a good laptop and works well, but this Surface Pro exceeded my expectations. It was a great purchase and I enjoy working on it every day. I also bought him a keyboard which was a real pleasure. It works seamlessly with both my ultrabook (which I love) and my iPad. The Surface Pro is very well put together, both in terms of the actual build and in terms of initial solidity and…

Not happy Computers and tablets

Apparently there is a problem with a restart loop in Windows 10 on the Surface. and I was lucky enough to buy a Surface that fell victim to the Loop. I literally only ran it once, messed with it one day, then tried turning it on the second day. Endless reboot loop. Resetting and even trying to boot it from USB didn't work so I sent it to Microsoft to have it replaced as it's under warranty but I'm still not happy with a $1,200 Surface Purchase that broke in less than 24 hours. hours…

Beautiful device. Minor update compared to older versions.

I have used my Surface Pro 3 (SP3) many times over the past 3.5 years, however the battery life has been deteriorating rapidly so I decided to upgrade to the new Surface Pro. (I don't know why Microsoft would be confusing by not calling it the Surface Pro 5, but I digress.) Here are the biggest improvements in SP3: - Noticeably thinner and lighter. Facilitates handling like a tablet. Fanless i5 version. I don't want to hear the shrill fan noise. Accessory Compatibility: - My SP3 keyboard cover…

Great tablet/PC for everyday use with a few tweaks.

I bought this tablet instead of the i5 or i7 versions based on the reviews I read. My only concern was how long the battery would last. I needed a tablet that would last all day taking notes in OneNote with the Surface Pen (which is great) with the occasional pause. Also, it had to be a Windows 10 tablet, 12 inch screen or more, but 14 inch was too big, and some lite games. In particular (Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour) this tablet has performed admirably so far. The m3 kernel version…

Best for computers and tablets

Great computer for general work. I work on an i7 with 1TB of storage - I bought a Pro 4 with i5 and 256GB and quickly realized I didn't buy enough for my work. Good (good, great): Fast - The Surface Pro i7 is significantly faster than the 2015 i5. Possibly 2-2.5x faster on standard missions. I'm doing some media jobs for comparison this weekend and will be posting a sequel. Storage - very fast. Files open and close with a "click". The screen is just as good as the Pro 4 and that's what made me…

Core i5 review, version

First of all I have to say that I didn't buy my Surface Pro through Revain. However, Revain is the most popular place to read reviews before buying. So I am posting my review here in the hope that it will help others in their decision. First the obvious. The device looks and feels like a premium item. The ventilation slots on the upper edge are even less visible than on the previous model (Surface Pro 4). Although the edges are a bit more rounded in the new version, I wouldn't have noticed if I
