Cut the S Lock

Easily cuts S and Hammer locks. I had an old set of Wiss Bulldogs and they did the job but it's time for new ones. I'm not disappointed.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Clarity

Doesn't work properly.

Bought an expensive one to avoid problems and they sent me a scratched metal shears with no lubrication. They don't open by themselves, you have to force them open. I've tried setting it up and what doesn't doesn't matter. Even if the thing worked, it looks seriously used.

Pros
  • cool product

Allows quick and easy shortening of bolts!

I usually break out the swivel wheel to remake iron, but this was much easier. I had to clean it up with a file, but that's necessary even with a wheel cut. If they don't do the job, it's not the right tool for the job.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Strongest cuts but bulky and don't fit in some areas.

These scissors have thick blades for straight cuts but offer the best cutting pressure I've seen in a hand pruning tool. They won't fit in some tight places to get creases or corners, but there's no better tool for cutting seam caps or thick double stock.

Pros
  • Good Stuff

Handy hand tool even cuts 20 ga stainless steel

I bought this tool to cut through a piece of 20 ga stainless steel in a grill part. I am very satisfied, it cuts stainless steel with one hand on the handle! I also tried 12 inch Irwin scissors (22012), they could barely cut with both hands and it was very hard on the blades. In comparison, these MWT-6716B shears feel solid and the blade is still smooth after my test cuts. I wouldn't want to cut hundreds of yards in steel this tough, but for my little project they're perfect.

Cuts metal like butter

Well, it depends on the thickness of the metal. I had a piece of steel about 1/2mm thick and it literally felt like cardboard paper with a pair of scissors. It was tough with 1mm thick steel, but with a few pulls and a little effort it cut clean. It is best not to damage the blade. Still looks like new and in good condition. Good old USA steel *NOTE* for those complaining of tool scratches. "Really scratches?" but sure. Please see how "Punching" works. basically superheated metal is repeatedlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Very expensive

Nice scissors. Even if they are not the best for the price

This review is very similar to my review of another tool from the same company. This USA-made tool bumps the price up a bit. I could buy a tool from one of their competitors that is assembled in the USA from premium materials and not entirely made in the USA... And that would be maybe five or six bucks cheaper, but I'm not particularly thrown. I don't mind paying to keep US workers whenever I can. So I understand the value isn't as good as other tools that might be just as good tools, but Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others
