It's ok for the price, but I'm not satisfied

It's designed to transfer 1.25GB, but actually much slower. My internet speed is 300 MB/s. I've tested it on 600 feet of single-mode duplex fiber optic cable, it's only moving at 75 MB/s. I thought it was my fiber then I went to an electronics store to buy a 9m fiber patch to test and I got the same reading. The speed was between 75 and 80 Mbit/s, exactly the same with 600 feet of fiber optic cable, so no cable but converter. it will help other buyers.

Pros
  • Mini size: It's almost 50% smaller than a traditional transducer.
Cons
  • Expensive

Small size mattered

I bought this fiber optic media converter to create an ethernet connection between a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) and a ground station controller. Fiber optic solved some of the problems that UTP caused for me. The signals from the 3 cameras and the control connection are transmitted via fiber optic cables. I chose this media converter because it was cheap and had the LC connectors I needed. The small size was also decisive. I removed the case to make it easier to insert the media

Pros
  • PWR, FX, 1000, LINK LED indicators can dynamically display the feedback link connection status and detect errors to easily monitor the network status; LFP, 9K, Flow Control, 100/1000 DIP switch can support LFP (Link Loss Propagation) function; maximum Ethernet packet size 9000 bytes, supports jumbo frames; Flow control; Fiber Type: MMF, Dual LC.
Cons
  • Can be damaged

It works. Networking Products

He delivers what he promises. I got about 930Mbps with it, which is what I get compared to regular 1000BASE-T. I'm a big fan of the metal case. However, the price is not the best. You can get it without the SFP transceiver and just buy your own transceiver on eBay. The cheap ones are fast enough and I found a 4 gigabit device for less than $2 including shipping. The TP-Link alternative is about the same, metal body and all, but cheaper if you add your own transceiver.

Pros
  • Fiber optic connector: 550m SFP transceiver kit (1.25G, multimode, 850nm); RJ-45 port: 10M/100M/1000Mbps, full-duplex/half-duplex auto-negotiation, MDI/MDIX auto-switching.
Cons
