Too bad they made a different cable

This is a well made adapter cable but it would be nice to go straight from the US2 trolling motor cable to the new Lowrance 9 pin black plug . must be connected to this port on newer devices. Instead, you'll need this cable plus a 7-pin to 9-pin conversion cable, and you'll end up spending about $60 on it.

Pros
  • Cable length: 16"
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Wish they made a different cable

This is a well made conversion cable but it would be nice to use a US2 cable direct from the trolling motor Motor to use new 9 pin black Lowrance connector required to connect to newer equipment with this connector. Instead, you'll need this cable plus a 7-pin to 9-pin conversion cable, and you'll end up spending about $60 on it.

Pros
  • Adapter connects your Humminbird sonar to the Universal Sonar 2 transducer on your trolling motor
Cons
  • Expensive

Simple and lightweight

I bought this to pair my Lowrance Hook 5 with my Minnkota Fortrex which I bought used. At first I got feedback that my screen stopped working when I pressed the power button on the motor (not that this would be a problem with this adapter and more so with the trolling motor) but as soon as I disconnected (swapped/relocated) the sensor ) got wires from the power motor wires this problem has stopped. Another way of saying the same thing is that the sensor cable is not routed and does not run near

Cons
  • unreliable

Check your sonar first, don't Minn-Kota!

I assume the cable is fine but it only gets one star because Minn-Kota has completely decayed. I have a Minn-Kota Terrova with a built in sensor, not even 10 months old. This spring I decided to install a basic Lowrance sonar. Minn Kota's compatibility with basic fish finders is minimal and now that Lowrance has discontinued many of their basic fish finders it's very difficult to find a fish finder that will work with my very expensive built in trolling motor converter. I finally found a…
