Description of 🔪 Misen Chef Knife - 8 Inch Professional High Carbon Steel Ultra Sharp Kitchen Knife, Blue

A Kitchen Staple: The Misen Chefs Knife is the definition of versatility. Perfectly balanced and ultra sharp — this tool will quickly become your new go-to. Replace that old, dull knife-set with one quality blade you'll actually use. Premium Steel: The cooking knife is crafted from AICHI AUS-10 steel which offers a superior balance between long lasting sharpness and durability with 2x the carbon content of some other “premium” knives. Best of Both Worlds: Misen chef's knives combine the best features of both Western and Japanese style blades — making them excel at any cutting task or technique. Slicing, chopping, dicing, all made effortless. Unique Design: A distinctive sloped bolster shape encourages a proper and safer "pinch grip” for better comfort and control. The 8 inch Chef Knife also features a more acute 15 degree angle for a noticeably sharper cutting face. Unmatched Value: We could charge more for our kitchen knives, but that would be wrong. We believe in using the best materials possible and selling directly to you at a fair and honest price.

Really good for the price

I had a couple of roommates who were professional chefs and I've always appreciated their really expensive knives, but as a hobbyist in the kitchen I could never justify paying a lot of money for to spend one . It popped up and had good reviews and I had a few drinks so I bought it. It arrived today and I've used it on the chicken, peppers and salad dressing and I'm really impressed. My other knives were something like the high end of what you can find in department stores and the difference…

It's just another knife

A VERY simple box. Basic instructions (washing, drying, etc.) NO specifications (steel, etc.) Machine is sharpened, so sharpening is required for proper sharpness. It may "feel sharp" or "cut better than the one you have" because it has a machined edge. This leaves thousands of burrs. A few taps on a slab of wood or plastic will quickly start to remove them, and you'll have a real edge that isn't as sharp as you thought it would be, so you'll need to re-sharpen it. The knife should have a…

The Perfect Knife!: Kitchen & Table Knife

For someone who's dealt with the unspoken for years - okay, too bad I can't cut a tomato. I know it sounds amazingly easy and fun to admit that I don't know how to cut a tomato. Trust me, I'm not mechanically challenged, but tomato? This is my Hamartia from Shakespeare in the kitchen. Always bursts. Always uneven. We don't work together. When I'm not on the team, the tomato reminds me, "Well, here I am!" This knife suddenly makes me feel so brave! Today I cut a tomato with the utmost precision,

Chop chop yes I'm back in action

Love this knife! It's incredibly fast and I've used it at least 8 times in just two days. I chopped onion and garlic like a pro chef. I'm so used to using less than perfect knives that switching to this incredible knife saved my life. The grip is perfect and I wish I had more items in this material. The knife felt very secure in my hand, and the curved edge of the handle allowed me to cut accurately and quickly without hurting my index fingers. I've found that slicing bagels with a serrated…

Incredibly pleased with this short chef's knife

I had never heard of a short chef's knife until I came across this one. What a great idea! I spent some time in the ER because I was a clumsy and injured myself (twice!) with a large, ill-balanced chef's knife and a cheap hatchet. So "short chef's knife" spoke to me, and I listened! It's a pure pleasure to use. I didn't realize how uncomfortable I was holding two other, larger (and less quality) knives. I'm perfectly comfortable cutting and slicing, although it's very sharp. I am grateful to…

Very sharp, still sharp

I've been using this for chopping vegetables and meat for about a month and once I started it seems just as sharp. It was very spicy at first because I scraped off the diced veggies and foolishly cut my finger pretty badly. So the edge is damn sharp. The blade is super sharp too. It feels good in the hand, has a good weight, but is by no means too heavy to make it bulky. Overall really good grip and it holds an edge very well so that's a plus for me so far. It stays sharp longer than many…
