Only ONE usable NPT port...

Claims to have 2 NPT ports but one of them is sandwiched between two M20 ports making it totally useless. Mishimoto must either update the product to use both NPT ports or change its description to state that only ONE NPT port can be used.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Not bad

Great with a design flaw

The thermostatic oil plate is a great idea if you plan on using an oil cooler. The side 1/8NPT connection makes it easy to install a temperature or pressure sensor. The only reason it didn't get a 5* rating is because the second 1/8 NPT port is right between the inlet and outlet ports. This makes it completely useless as you can't fit anything into the middle port of the sensor. Otherwise it works great and doesn't drip.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Do not use! for spare parts

I bought this product from Amazon and installed it on my 370z. A week later the ring on the thermostat ruptured on track, resulting in a complete cleaning of the oil system. I'm waiting for a damage report, but without counting the engine, it's going to cost $500 to fix the car. This is completely unacceptable for a part of this price range. So far the best Mishimoto has suggested is to send me a new o-ring. This is far from repairing the damage to my car.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are defects

Great deal made me buy again.

Complete with oil cooler 06-07 for STI. As I have an EJ257 Turbo 257 block hybrid with JE FSR pistons designed to be used with EJ205 heads. The 185 degree thermostatic oil cooler paired with the Mishimoto aluminum radiator radiator coolant never rose above 207 degrees when the fans failed, now the coolant temperature does not rise above 190 even when you stop and go in the heat, especially when you vigorously ride on the Street drive evening in the car. meets. We hope that cooler temperatures…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

  • High price

Infiniti G35 coupe works great.

Have been using this for about a year now with a 19 row oil cooler. Works amazing! I hooked up oil temp and pressure gauges to monitor my oil system and everything works great. Low pressure drop, much cooler oil. No leaks, only time was on initial install. The thermostat was leaking badly. I pulled it down to 33-35 ft/lbs and it has been leak free for almost a year now. I would suggest checking and tightening all fittings associated with this intermediate plate and oil cooler from time to time…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Modern

The part is of good quality and works as expected

The sandwich panel is very well finished. I replaced the thermostat with a higher temperature unit (93°C, 200°F), which was very easy. The sandwich panel was also very easy to install, much easier than removing the factory unit. You shouldn't have any problems if you have permission to do so. I also installed the temperature sensor at the same time as the transmitter included in this sandwich and I can see the sandwich panel is working fine. Oil temp stayed between 180F and 200F (that's with…
