This cooling system pressure test kit is very important. The Honda VFR 800 was losing coolant thinking it was a blown head gasket. Prior to the coolant issue, all hoses were replaced, water pump seal checked and the radiator cap replaced with a NEW factory cap. The coolant system held pressure, but the NEW radiator cap didn't hold pressure! Some manipulations of the radiator cap gasket made it possible to pass the pressure test. Phew, no blown head gasket.

Fits my 2003 Goldwing GL1800, overall I like it and it works. I haven't tried the lid test, but the lid adapter fits. I only used it to check the cooling system pressure after an engine change. It initially didn't fit my radiator filler neck, it was too tight, so I took a small vise and gently/lightly squeezed the metal corners. See photo, after that everything worked. If you need to do this to get yours in properly, do it a little at a time, checking the fit each time before pressing too much.
