I forgot how shiny black PLA is

So I made a pact with myself to stop buying silk thread. And to be honest, I prefer rainbows. But when this black PLA appeared on Vine, I decided to give it a try. I downloaded and tried it on my Creality CR6. Well, I'm not really picky about print quality, but I can definitely tell when something's going bad. This filament printed beautifully at 200 and the bed (PEI over spring steel over glass) was set at 60. And indeed, it reminded me that black PLA glitters almost as much as my favorite…

Unbranded Universal PLA Filament - Becomes viscous at higher temperatures

At first I thought this MKK PLA filament was the same as another regular Chinese filament I recently reviewed. The coils were the same design and the winding on both was equally terrible. But the temperature tower shows little difference. The product list here recommends printing at 230-250°C. never mind The label on the coil indicates the temperature of 195-220°C. very good! suitable for 3D printing filament

I didn't have high hopes for this filament as I always buy known brands and I always use the same brands. I love the consistent results I'm getting from the threads I've "selected" on my Ender 3. But I'm very pleasantly surprised by this thread and MKK is on my approved list. It prints great with a first layer of 210 and then 205, on a platform heated to 60 for the first layer, then 55.
