Only fits 5mm wide dropouts

Product looks great. Unfortunately I have Cinelli Mash Work and the dropouts were barely too big. This is designed in such a way that it does not cover the back of the dropouts by more than 5 mm. Not the products fault but I'm giving four stars as I can't comment on how well they work. They just seem solidly built and just what I'm looking for when they fit.

Worth every penny Parts & Components Item

MKS is one of the most respected names in the manufacture of steel parts that revolve around other steel parts and these chain tensioners are no exception. My mechanic called them "sanitary," which is his highest aesthetic praise. They're easy enough to install and very easy to adjust, and should last almost forever if you don't fiddle with them all the time. In short, if you insist that everything about your bike is "bomb proof" then this is for you. so that your wheels don't slip in the…

Best tensioner in this category for converting abs to single speed

I bet this (and I convert road to single speed as a perk and know my way around) beats them all because a) the spring notice is INSIDE the actual arm. Those outer springs always show up and you'll never find them while riding. B) There is only one screw and that is screw against screw (used by 99% of the other spanners in this category) and the screw is a typical hex case - just like your head probably. And they are never weakened by vibration. Listen: you're sticking this needle DIRECTLY onto…

Absolutely the best, worth the extra money

TIP: The round bit that goes through the axle goes INSIDE the chain, not out like many tensioners do - that's why it does slim. This is the size (5mm) for a typical steel frame; If you have an aluminum frame, check out the CA-MX10 (8mm) or CA-MX14 (8mm with a 14mm axle). Also, unlike most spanners, they ONLY use a 3mm hex wrench, so you don't need to carry an extra box wrench when you travel if you already have a general-purpose tool. Simply use 3mm to properly tension the chain and align the…
