Easy setup with Alexa

I am very happy with this device. I set it up with my Sony TV and my FIOS box using the Smart Life app. It was very easy to set up and works great. I couldn't be happier! I then bought the RF controlled version as I have a remote that is not IR. It didn't work with my RF controller, but also it used slightly different software and was a lot harder to get it to work. I returned it and bought a second one for my other TV/FIOS/Soundbar and it worked great on the second set. I highly recommend this

I have a problem with this device

This is my second device of this brand, the first without RF. The first works great, I have recommended it to many. I wanted to try the gate control for my house and decided on this one. What a surprise . The device only works for a few minutes, then shuts down and stops working until I unplug and plug it back in. but after a while. it turns off again. It is worth emphasizing that the first device on the same network works perfectly. I use it to control my TV, Logitech soundbar and Daikin air…

A useful device, but difficult to set up.

This is a bit tricky to set up. I built a few of these and the first one was very difficult but the second one was very easy. I think it has something to do with the wifi router you have. (Both were set up in different locations.) Once everything is set up, everything works through the app, just like a real remote. He also has a pretty decent range. Revain's Alexa integration was good or bad for me. I have a few things that work great with Alexa but I can't figure out how to get them to work…

Easy to add DIY remote control

As suggested, I tried setting up a remote hub near my AT&T router but couldn't set it up in the Smart Life app. After several unsuccessful attempts, I moved as far away from the router as possible and then setup was relatively easy. The hub connects on 2.4GHz, and as you move away from the router, the 5GHz band gets weaker, making it easier to connect to the 2.4GHz band. The remote control for the old Sony TV was easy to set up, but so was the older JVC CD audio system. needed a home made…

gateway device.

A few things you should know: First, the setup requires some technical understanding and when working with smart home assistants it is limited to these interfaces. The app pretty much gives me complete control over my; TV, stereo, fan and air conditioning from my phone. When using Alexa, I can turn devices on and off. If you use Google, you need to tell it to turn on Smart Life before you can control your devices. Pretty clumsy, but that's probably how Google is set up. Best of all, I can…

US buyers listen to

If you can find every device you want to control remotely in the app's (SmartLife) very large database, you probably won't have a problem remotely booting your device over Wi-Fi. But. Manufacturers are unaware that Hunter sells ceiling fans in the US. So you see a completely inadequate guide in the DIY equipment section. This should be used if your device is not in the app's database. What the instructions say and what actually happens are two different things, no matter what you do or how loud

Has cons if you are in the US.

I really wanted this IR blaster to control my new mini split air conditioner. But unfortunately I had to send it back. But maybe it will help someone in their purchasing decision. This review is intended to help US customers. The big advantage of the device is the cost. This is a very low price compared to other advanced air conditioning controllers. Setup wasn't difficult. I installed it in less than 5 minutes after downloading the Smart Life app. He was able to turn my Mitsubishi air…

does what i need most of time.

Setup was a little tricky. The quick setup mode wasn't working which could be due to a number of factors from my Xfinity WAP to the high number of WiFi signals in my building causing problems with other systems. Entering the secondary setup mode with slow blinking and connecting to the device's ad hoc network finally made the connection. I wanted Alexa to be able to control the built-in AC, which is the only cooling for my apartment. I was shocked to find a device from another manufacturer in…
