Generally it does what it needs to. I have speakers that mount with a keyhole that has an adapter, that was nice. I had to modify them a bit to run the wire through them from the wall to the speaker. (See photos) I enlarged one of the mounting holes, drilled a matching hole in the cover and fed a wire through it into the speaker. I love these speaker mounts. They have a very low profile. Installation was very easy. I installed in drywall so I used some of my own drywall anchors that are rated at 30 pounds per anchor. You simply install the base and then the outer part of the bracket that holds the speaker just slides into place and there is a screw that holds it in place. I actually bought this kit for keyhole installation. My previous surround speakers had threaded bottoms, so I used a VideoSecu kit to mount them. This kit had keyhole mounting hardware as I envisioned, but it was very unstable for my new larger speakers. This kit comes with a much stronger plate for the keyhole configuration. I usually love Monoprice but this product was disappointing - it's not rated for anything close to £22. Got it working with my 15lb KEF100 speakers with mods and big disappointment. (I already had holes in my wall so I wanted to try and get it working before sending it back). I bought a Logitech Z906 5.1 system for my garage and needed the brackets. The packaging is good. I bought two sets (4 mounts in total) and one box was damaged but inside everything was fine and well packaged. The mounts themselves seem pretty solid and I'm sure they will hold up great.
