Not worth the hassle

2008 Dodge 2500 RWD with 6.7. Replacement of the regular shock absorbers at a mileage of 130,000 km. Monroe has no noticeable cushioning. The truck behaves much worse. DO NOT BUY. 7/27/2021 Monroe called. They couldn't/won't help me. The seller is not an authorized seller. RUN AWAY!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons

Too soft handling when towing

I mounted them on the front of my RAM 2500 5th wheeled tractor. I was hoping that it would shake a little less when stopping or driving on a wavy road. There is not much difference between these and my original shocks which they replaced. I'll take Bilstein next time.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Update available

They worked great for about 6 months

I had them on my Dodge Diesel 2500 4x2 for almost 2 years. They worked great for about 6 months. I noticed that the line became spongy or soft. When I hit a small bump in the road, I feel like the front end is spinning out of control. A few years ago I had a set of gas magnums on a 1/2 ton truck and they worked great. When I put them on the car I noticed the piston rod size was smaller than the OEM shocks on the truck.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

NOT ENOUGH FOR A DODGE RAM 2500

I've been running these shocks on my 2003 Ram 2500 for a year and a half now. TRUCK SHUTDOWN WHILE RUNNING SLUMMER HEALING SPEEDS NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL I FIXED THESE SHOCKS. However, at higher speeds on roads and highways, they don't seem to provide enough cushioning for the weight of this car's front end. The truck sometimes stalls on big bumps in the road, I'm not a striker, but my opinion is that they are not enough for the weight of the truck in the front. I tried to save some money…

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
