Fits perfectly on my 1994 E-350

Fits perfectly on my 1994 E-350. I used binding wire to compress them for installation. You don't have to spend extra money for Bilstein. smooth ride. However, we'll see how long they last.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Dramatically improved driving performance.

I ordered a set of these for my 1 ton truck. They fit with no issues and the ride is vastly improved. They are much smoother and quieter to ride than the last cheap ones I bought at my local parts store. The only thing I have with me is a nut and washer for the top, which seemed flimsy, so I reused the old one. The old one was a lock nut. Otherwise I'm happy with them.

Not exactly an exact match, but generally ok

This shock is approximately 1/4" to 3/8" shorter than the Original Equipment 2003-2003 Ford front shock, although it will eventually fit. Also, the threaded top is thinner and not as bulky as the original shock. Last but not least, it comes with 2 rubber bushings, 2 curved steel washers and one (ONE!) nut. What? Sealed plastic bag and one nut missing. Also, as another buyer mentioned, the old nut is a welded nut and washer combination, so it's much better than the ONE regular nut that comes…

  • Absolutely amazing!

good performance but poor design for installation

I was very happy to upgrade the shock absorbers on my Ford e-150. I was told that gas shocks would make a big difference versus stocks. I love the fact that the Monroes are made in the USA and I would say the ride quality is better. The negative, as many others have said, is that while I see it as a quality shock, replacing hardware in the stress of work almost seems like a joke. Also, and this is an important factor for the top of the shock, this is the nut that is welded to the shock itself…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Empty
