Worth the money, big difference, better grip and handling

Got them from stock for 76.00 the pair, they were NEW but cheaper. Shipping was fast and there's a solid heavy difference, no wobbling or rubbing. The 3x weight also has some traction. I've converted and raced GMCs and Astros my entire life. I've run them through everything, these shocks are amazing and add a leaf too. and the rear brake disc conversion is also good on 2002 and older stops, much better than the rear brake line valving adjuster.

Significantly improved driving comfort with rear load.

Sat in Astro 98 2wd. I converted our old family van into a light work van but it was sagging in the back with tools and supplies especially the gas/air compressor. I've always bought cheap shock absorbers, but this time I decided to buy something suitable for the task. As long as these shocks hold up very well, the ride is smooth and the van no longer wobbles or wobbles through corners and bumps. It feels a lot more stable. My work partner said that he used to feel like he was on a boat, butโ€ฆ

Works better than expected

I installed them on a 1997 Astro/Safari conversion truck. I have the extra "high top" plus a ton of wood paneling in the interior, so the back of the van is a lot heavier than the stock. I bought a used van and the back kept sagging and when I loaded 6 adults and some luggage it was out of control. I installed them myself in an hour on both sides. The ride height has been reset to what I would call the standard Astro/Safari when it was new. The ride and handling is MUCH better and I can rideโ€ฆ

Every ASTRO VAN should have them!

Even after replacing the rear shocks, my 1999 Astro still needed something to help with the rear end leaning off the highway with tight corners... Thought it might do with a sway bar after sale give...well I went for these spring assisted shocks and what a big difference, it's 1 1/2 inches tall and handles tight corners very well with no pitch or body roll. My trailer pulls much better with no rotationโ€ฆ. worth the price, much cheaper and easier than a stabilizer. The first photo is a day before

Very happy with it!

This product was exactly the same as the kit the mechanic wanted to fit in location, make, gauge etc. Almost triple the price of these shocks alone with no labor involved. We have another mechanic who is willing to install the parts we supply and we paid him his current rate for the job and we tip him when he uses our parts - and saved a lot! Due to the weight, they were delivered to Tenneco very quickly and in sturdy packaging. Would definitely buy this product again from this company! Theyโ€ฆ

You can't go wrong with Monroe shocks. I installed these load matching shocks on my 2005 Chevy Astro a few months ago and they really made a great impression. I've immediately noticed much better handling and braking when riding for the past few months. Today I finally had the opportunity to attach a pendant to it. One big difference I noticed right away was that I had to raise the hitch higher than before to get through the towball. When I've towed a trailer in the past, I've almost scrapedโ€ฆ
