Issues Resolved Rear Suspension

The kit worked great replacing the rear air spring on a 2007 GMC Envoy Denali. The air suspension constantly lost pressure after a 30-minute stop. Rides and handles just as well, maybe even better after swapping out for the regular springs and new dampers that come with this kit. There was even a guide, but there are several YouTube videos showing step-by-step how to do the swap. To upgrade to this system you will need a spring compressor.

Starting with lifting and removing the fully deployed airbags to install the springs, I used a pry bar that came with Rainier to set them in place (no spring compression required). I installed the shock absorbers and everything was ready in about 1.5 hours. It could have taken about an hour, but a bad back…

The instructions were pretty vague, but it's actually a pretty easy install. You need coil spring compressors to do a job not mentioned in the instructions. Advice for those doing this at home. Save time and leave the compressor intact. Simply go into the underhood fuse panel and pull out the ECAS #1 fuse. The…
