Fits and works fine on my 96 ft Toyota Land Cruiser

it fits and works on my 96. There was a quarter sized dent in the pipe. it didn't affect the function. The box it came in had a picture with a dust cover, it would be nice if it came with the kit.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • Fits

It seems to work.

Replaced the stock steering damper on my Toyota Land Cruiser 97 with this unit. The OEM replacement was way more expensive so I went with this one. The Monroe SA1997 shock was purchased separately and installed with the shock. It seems to work.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Protection

Doesn't quite fit.

Installed on my 1996 Land Cruiser. Because it doesn't use tie rods on the ends it's not very flexible and results in the linkage on the bipod handle being in an awkward position and my handlebars making a creaking noise when I turn the handlebars. I take it off and put the stock damper back on. Also, the screw connecting it to the linkage on the bipod arm is not flush with the linkage.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Compatible
