Unfortunately, this product was a failure for me. The range of the infrared receiver was too short (about 6 feet maximum) to consistently receive my remote control commands. The length of the receiver cable was also too short. The instructions were missing useful information. The permanently lit LED display is also a design flaw. I am returning this product and will use a different brand.

Efficient inexpensive IR repeater. Just two minor complaints. First, the length of the cable from the USB port to the receiver is too short. I couldn't power the receiver from inside the closet. Both the receiver and the power supply are visible. I'd rather just have the receiver outside the closet. Second. The red LED on the receiver lights up continuously. Good to know the device has power. It's awful when you're watching TV with a red light shining on you.

I bought this device and wondered if it would even work. I was so skeptical that I provisionally assembled everything without using any glue on the sensor. My first test worked so well that I decided to hide the IR sensor between the 1/2 inch thick air vents on my closet.
