Moog 81120 Coil Spring Set Review

The springs look good except both have small scratches and one has 5 fairly severe scratches where the paint has already peeled. Probably because of bad packaging. They don't look at the new ones. At least there was no rust as far as I can tell. Update: Will be updated again after installation (bolts pending).

My 05 F150 eventually broke the coils, most 05s broke within the first 5 years. After doing a little research, I found that Moog makes replacement parts for standard and heavy models. I went for these heavy duty spools, they have noticeably more spools and the spool is as thick as the OEM. I took my Bilstein 5100 down a notch and didn't lose a drop of lift/level. No difference in handling from the originals (before running, of course).

04 F150 springs eventually broke. I installed them on a Bilstein 5100 with 2" rise. One thing to remember, if you install them yourself make sure your rack mount compressors will work with them. I have several sets and they were all either undersized or the Hooks were too small big enough to fit between the coils (and they fit standard F150 coils) They have thicker turns and are closer together Maybe he just took the assembly to someone assembling the rack.
