I wouldn't recommend them to anyone

coil springs sagged the truck in the back. The truck sits 3 inches under the front of the car. These coil springs are meant to keep your car at OE level but are not. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that the ride is a little smoother.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not worth the trouble or the money.

Installed these on the back of my 2001 Expedition Eddie Bauer which originally had rear coils. Ground clearance measured before and after. These springs caused the car to sit 1 inch lower than it was. Now I have to spend even more money to buy hub spacers. Spent another $110 on 2-inch lifter spacers and it sits back to factory height. Not recommended by me!

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Expensive

They are shorter and my 2001 Ford Expedition now sits.

They are shorter and my 2001 Ford Expedition now sits 2 inches lower. The manufacturer should really check and help those who have installed. Contacted the manufacturer and was rude! I'm still trying to figure out what to do! Update, these are the wrong springs for a Ford Expedition 454, the red springs for me are from a_c delco part number 45 h 1179. It cost me another $250 to find out.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not sure

Coil Springs Replace Air Spring

Purchased these springs to replace the rear air shocks on my 98th Eddie Bauer Expedition. They were EASY to install although it took a little time without a power tool. Took me about 3 hours. You have to lower the rear axle and "rent" the coil spring compressor (AutoZone and Advance rent for free, you buy it (as a deposit) and return it when finished) - now the truck goes completely flat. Instructions were included. I didn't use rubber isolators.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Frequency

Incorrect! What could be dangerous!

I have a Ford Expedition 00 Eddie Bauer. They're 2 inches shorter and the coils aren't as thick. Need 2 inch spacers! Auto Zone and Oreilys sell the same thing, but if the back of your truck lifts off the ground, they'll pop out of the seat without spacers! Which can be very bad and dangerous! Here it is really worth paying attention to the manufacturer. So when you buy, please buy spacers. I know they're expensive, but they'll save you money and maybe your life when they come out! Also…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad
