Beware of this Suspension Nightmare

Through trial and error, I found that this joint creates noisy and bumpy rides. The only positive thing about it is that it is easy to install. But despite its ease to install, this product is not worth the hassle. Save yourself the time and money and opt for a better suspension product.

Perfect for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Perfect for 1997 Buick Park Ave. It wasn't as smooth as the old one (which was still tight but the trunk was snapped) but that might just be because it's new and a little tighter. The worst part of the job was drilling and knocking out the rivets from the original ball joint. The service manual states that the ball joints are not serviceable, they are to replace the control arm, which is no longer available in aluminum for the 1997 model year. A YouTube video convinced me that the ball jointโ€ฆ

Good product but spend 20 extra for the whole wishbone.

Good product but if I had to do it again I would spend 20 extra for the whole arm. The original ball joints on my Buick LeSabre were riveted in place, which required some grinding and hammering. Another disadvantage is that the nuts and bolts take up the clearance between the ball joint and steering knuckle required to install the ball joint remover. So if you want to replace your CV you will need to remove the ball joint studs! Also, good luck installing the torque wrench on the castle nut.
