Description of Moog K6447 Idler Arm

Problem Solver design utilizes a tapered stud to increase stud to bearing contact area by 35%. Increased bearing surface design combined with a controlled preload and pressure plate allows for extra durability. Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear. Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear. Great for spares

Moog is the best. The main advantage is the hexagonal fastening, which prevents the screw from rotating when tightened. The mfg part has a hex size that no one else has. Muga hexagon - regular size. Problem solved!

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Looks good - tension arms

Moog has a reputation for quality; the part looks good. Installed on a 2000 Chevy K3500 pickup. I was hoping this would eliminate some steering play (a common problem with these trucks) but it didn't, so I must have another issue.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good substitute option.

Bought this along with a few other components to convert the front of my Tahoe and this part worked great. It fits perfectly and appears to be a quality replacement option. I've been using Moog components for years and have never had a single problem.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Compatibility

Moog also has a nice website with some pointers

Solid piece of metal. Greased and ready to go. Even came with some instructions. The work itself is a little intimidating, but the quality of the parts for the price makes it worth trying. Moog also has a nice website for some pointers. I bought some of their suspension parts for my wife's car and I love the grease fittings they use for maintenance. Good parts.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Moog products are the best!

As mentioned in my other reviews, I started using Moog suspension parts over forty years ago. They make their parts to basically "catch up on what the OEM failed". For four decades, Moog has been my supplier for everything to do with suspension or steering. This guide arm is far superior to OEM or other aftermarket designs. The design not only allows for lubrication, but also for flushing out contaminants in the process. Great part!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Intelligent design - shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Moog is the best choice. The main advantage is the hexagonal fastening, which prevents the screw from rotating when tightened. The mfg part has a hex size that no one else has. Muga hexagon - normal size. Problem solved!

Pros
  • Loose or worn undercarriage parts can lead to premature tire wear
Cons
  • Almost never
