Before installation, check the packaging for all required parts.

The ball joint itself is fine, but the required boot is not included. Of course, I only noticed that when I pressed in the ball joint. Update: Moog has a new design for this ball joint with an integrated boot instead of a large external boot. The lesson is here, read the instructions first!

Upgraded with integral dust cover (outdated catalog photo)

The image in this Revain listing is out of date. It shows an old style ball joint with a separate dust cap that needs to be pushed down. As another reviewer mentioned, this ball joint has been redesigned with a built-in dust cover pre-installed and therefore does not come with the external dust cover shown in the photo. Just trying to save someone else the confusion.

Not recommended - shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Junk. I completely redesigned the front and opted for Moog ball joints. After I installed them in my steering knuckle and was about to put them on my truck, the nut just ate the strut on the lower ball joint. No, I did not cross the thread. The nut only tightened when I screwed it onto the stem. The mother stopped before she touched the tie beam. So I did a backup and saw the fine metal powder pictured above. I decided to try tightening them and ended up removing both the stem and nut…
