As with any tool, length matters. With these irons together (try gently putting the black and silver irons together to break the bead) with plenty of lube, I was able to change my motorcycle tires easily. Even as a beginner for the first time. If you have the guts, these irons work just fine. Use rim protector (I used cut pieces of a plastic jug) and soapy water, watch a video and head into town. If you break one of these irons, you've done something wrong.

Pros
  • What's new
Cons
  • Almost never

Used for the first time and they worked well

We usually use a tire changer to mount motorcycle tires. but I didn't have access to my friends tire assembly so I actually used the side stand on my 2016 1200 GS to break the bead on one side. I used a lot of soap and these crowbars. I was pleasantly surprised that the tire can be removed and reinstalled quite easily. The long tool engaged the bead well and the smaller silver arms engaged the bead well. This set worked well for me, there are no bent bars here.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Be careful with the tips, I don't think the steel used is that good.

I was using a set of these irons to mount a pair of tires and the tip broke off the 'cast iron' wedge. Maybe it's the dull quality of the steel they made the main tires from, but they're not as strong as I thought they would be. I thought they were hardened steel, but when the tip broke it looked like this iron wedge was just cast metal. I sent the kit back and Revain (with their amazing return policy) let me send the unsatisfactory product back. They may work for some but not for me.

The tools work as they should.

I used them to change tires on my tractor. It took me a while to really understand their function, but after that it didn't take long for me to dismount. The hardest part was breaking the side, but after that it's all downhill. Just take your time and if you work too hard at it you're probably doing something wrong, like using the wrong camber on the main wheel mount to get the edge of the tire over the rim. A little lubricant goes far beyond the lip. I have other Motion Pro tools that have…

If you bend the bracket, you're doing it wrong.

Very happy with the assembly kit. Good quality, design and price. If you want something better, step up to Baja No Pinch, but at a significant price increase. To answer a few complaints I've seen with these tire mounts. 1.) Crowbars on motorcycle tires must not be bent or broken. If yes, then you are doing it wrong. Please find instruction videos on YouTube. 2.) You can use them to change tires on a road bike, but hand flat irons always run the risk of damaging rims, road, or dirt. They are…

Better than using screwdrivers

I was also given plastic rim protectors but I still managed to scratch the rims. I noticed my rims were already scratched on the inside of the tire where it wasn't visible without removing the tire after replacing it at the dealer. My alloy wheels are pretty soft and obviously don't like contact with harder metals. Might be an issue with my technique but I might try finding spoons with a softer protective coating on the ends and see how they perform. I had no problem with steel wire rims, only…

  • Easy installation

  • Minor issues

You can do that! Save big money for years to come.

I decided to mount and balance my own tires after buying the kit very cheaply for my 08 1000 rubles. Honda charged me $100 to install and balance both wheels of the bike. So instead I bought this tire change kit and static balancer for under $80 and did it myself. I'm not the best mechanic in the world and I often break things. Maybe you can elaborate on that After watching a few YouTube videos I was only able to use these tools to: (You will also need front and back stands) Push out the bead…

Good quality tools that suit me

I decided to try new tires on my Concours 1400. I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn more about the bike and learn a new skill. I bought these levers based on good reviews and also because they have three irons instead of two. The big black lever was the key to getting my tires off and getting new ones. Still, I spent about five hours removing and remounting the tires. The second tire was much faster but the biggest problem for me was getting the second bead off the rim…
