Direct fitment on my 2013 Passat, but still.

Installed directly on my 2013 Passat but it has NOT solved my evaporator leak problem. It turned out to be the evaporator vent valve, just a little more difficult to replace.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Has quirks

Lower tank cap. I had to pry open with pliers

BMW 528i e39 only failed after the return line. This cap got stuck a few times when it almost ran out of gas at the gas station before being thrown in the bin!

Pros
  • normal price
Cons
  • frequency

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Incompatible replacement.

One size fits all brands. Well, it isn't, and it shouldn't be marketed as being compatible with the Audi A6. The correct part number is listed but they are not the same model. Wasted my time and money on this. No crack and seal causing the same MIL I bought to fix.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • confused

Doesn't fit perfectly but fits

The gas cap technically fits but is very difficult to remove each time you fill up. It seems too tight, but maybe it's just new and needs a little more use to loosen? I think I will be ordering OEM for this auto part in the near future. Also, my 2013 Jetta doesn't have a place to store the cap at the gas station as the original has a tether that can be attached to the car so it doesn't get lost. This is not an option for such a leash.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Reliable

This is good for caps

Gas cap fits but not as well as OEM. When removed, it hangs a little and you have to turn it a little in the other direction. Jetta 2017

Pros
  • Reduces air pollution with proper sealing and ventilation
Cons
  • Can't remember
