This is a very affordable cable modem. It lacks routing functionality, so it cannot simply be plugged into a switch, it must be plugged into a router. Therefore, only one device can use this Ethernet port at a time unless it is connected to a router. As such, I only recommend this if you have a router to connect to - otherwise it only supports limited connectivity.

I bought this device because it was on Comcast's list of approved devices for my region and because the package I received was so fast. Initially, I had some problems with the computer, which significantly limited its speed. I called Comcast to fix the problem and they said the modem is old and unsupported and I need a newer modem to get the advertised speed.
