shoes are exactly as described. I ordered my normal size 14 medium and they fit perfectly. I had no problem installing the SPD clamp set that came with my Shimano pedals. The shoes are a bit heavy; but that doesn't bother me at all. They are perfect for everyday use with my Trident tricycle and I am very happy with my purchase.

This is my first pair of shoes with clip on adapters. The shoes are made of high quality material. There is a Velcro strap that holds knotted laces well. I had a little trouble getting used to the clipping, but you can just start pedaling normally and you'll be fixed in a few minutes. Unclipping requires a firm motion, but it's also easy once you get the hang of it. Highly recommended.

After two rides I got a terrible rock chip on the ball of my foot where the spike stuck to the sole of the boot. There is no rubber between the spike and the inside of the boot where your foot is. Just a very thin layer of "cushion". You can feel the spike through the boot with your finger and obviously when walking. The rock chip came from riding as I covered a total of 30 feet between rides with these things on. I returned them.

These things are very impressive right out of the box. Solid looking shoes, thick quality laces, nice velcro closure. The ankle protection in each shoe is great and the overall style and quality of the shoe and sole is amazing. Seems to be average or below average in difficulty, so that's good. An added bonus is the overall style of the shoe which also makes it comfortable when you're not cycling compared to other shoes that don't look very "cool". I would recommend

I am a mountain bike but bought them for road cycling. I have flat pedals on my mountain bike because I don't think I'll switch off in time. These shoes have been great so far. I've only ridden 3 times since I've had them but gosh they're comfy! The outsole is stiff for direct power transmission, but just as comfortable to walk on as on a normal tennis shoe. The spikes do not protrude beyond the sole and never touch the ground when walking.
