Good price and great product

This packaging was used for my wife's Can Am Spyder Hindle exhaust. It's easy to work with, won't shatter like a pack of glass, but will shrink and hold its shape briefly while you insert the baffle into the muffler. It must sound amazing.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Blown out in no time at all

Muffler packaging is no stranger to the word. It sounded great at about 3 miles. I hopped on it to climb a hill outside of town and I dumped a package on my buddy behind me. Took it apart today and there is nothing left. $20 literally flew out of my exhaust! Yes, it was tightly packed.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to say

He immediately began to break down and clog the spark arrestor.

Breaks instantly. I remade my exhaust with stainless steel wool as the inner layer and this as the outer layer. It falls apart when packed up, luckily I had enough blank paper to wrap it around and get rid of the old stuff. It started falling apart as soon as I lit it for the first time, hit the spark arrestor and flew to the ground because of the tiny bits going through it. It's definitely fiberglass and not ceramic. Not strong fabric, I would not recommend.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Almost never

I like it for my straight baffles.

I used this muffler pack to wrap baffles on my Vance & Hines straight shots. The wrap was a bit thicker than the fiberglass sheeting I used previously, so I thinned it out a bit. It holds up well, much better than the traditional fiberglass sheet. Hope it holds up well. For this money you get a lot of scam. It's cheaper than buying fiberglass sheeting from Vance & Hines. It turns out a lot, so you can make several tubes from it. I have two tubes so this should last at least 3 uses.

Did the work on parts

. Excellent product. I had to wrap 12" baffles and had enough supplies to do the job at least twice, but I can only wrap one layer so your mileage may vary. The quality seems high and the sound on my bike is great. I found a YouTube video of an elderly gentleman repackaging HD mufflers and the advice he got from a well known exhaust company was to use some strips of tape to secure your film and then put the whole thing in to wrap a thick layer of tape. The company he spoke to said it wouldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . The best in its niche.
Cons
  • . There are problems.

Not long. Clogged spark arrestor.

Everything seemed good at first, the sound was good. I installed it into a sparkling clean DG slip-on just like the other seals. Done about 800 miles in a few months on a rebuilt top end. Exhaust removed due to bike running too rich/burning oil. Opened and the packaging was completely gone, save for about the size of a steel wool pad. I'm not sure where it went but my guess is that it basically clogged the spark arrester causing the bike to run very rich which washed out the new set of ringsโ€ฆ

  • Trial year

  • Only available in black

Supertrapp Parts EAR

This is an updated review 10 months after my purchase and installation. The entry was a 1985 Kawasaki KLR600 with a SuperTrapp EAR (Environmental Acoustic Reduction) muffler. The bike is a fairly quiet 4-stroke, two-stroke sport bike. I repack every year and usually find a fairly full can of packing materials when I do. Initial ceramic noise reduction was acceptable. The noise level started to increase noticeably at about 750 miles and became completely unreasonable by 1500 miles. Whenโ€ฆ
