Just buy the OEM part

Looking back I should have bought an OEM part even for Ford Racing. After I tightened these up, there were some small leaks where the parts screwed in that the hoses attach to are screwed in. I ended up using duct tape to stop the leak. I have no idea who this will stand up to in the long run, but it's not transpiring. If it leaks in the future I'll buy an OEM.

Pros
  • Fan and parts
Cons
  • Almost never

It's good that it's cheap

It's good that it's cheap. The fit was fine as I had a unique attachment (a '94 Mustang with an old design carb). The fairing almost came off after about 20 miles of use. I was expecting Chrome to fail eventually, but wow, it happened fast! In winter I will remove and paint. Don't buy if you want something nice. However, if you need a 90 degree outlet for an older carb intake, this will work. This is necessary because the OEM throat will leak on older air intakes (casting changes).

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Periodicity

Jury still no best in engine cooling

Everything looks fine and all hoses fit with no leaks, same goes for the thick gasket supplied. FWIW two mounting screws require an Allen key. The key I have is marked 5.5. I suspect it's millimeters, but I'm not sure. Problem: Do you see an incorrect threaded "plug" in the picture? I thought it was for bling or something. Nobody tells you to tape the threads to this thing. Car started and coolant hisses out of this thing. You must remove and reinstall the part. Too bad they don't provide…

Pros
  • Performance parts and accessories
Cons
  • Some problems
