Perfectly prevents constant punctures

I am a road cyclist and use them on all my bikes. I started using it a year ago. I don't notice any difference in the performance of my tires, but then again I ride my bike as a hobby and I'm not a professional. I haven't had a flat tire since I started using Tuffy cords. In fact, I've ridden without flats for so long that I had to replace the rear pipe due to the valving failing. I was also able to run a cut/cut tire and didn't get a single puncture. I may have tried my luck, but these things…

Buy it! for cycling

I used these Tuffy tires for my 1000 mile bike ride from Saigon to Hanoi in Vietnam. The good thing is that these liners are pretty light and I can use them with my favorite Continental GP4000s II tires. Before the trip I considered using the following: 1) Continental GP4000s II. I love these tires. They're light, ride well and do pretty well in wet weather2) Continental Gatorskin Hardshell. They are heavier than the Continental GP4000 II and the liner. They are not as good and not as good in…

Best idea! for sports

Trust me. Someone who gets at least one apartment a week?!? These things save lives! I haven't had an apartment since then! As I ride a lot I think I can notice a small difference in weight but maybe it was just my opinion. I feel like I've had to put 10% more effort into my travels. It takes some time to install as it is quite slippery when everything is aligned. I like them so much I gave them to my roommate for Christmas because he had apartments too. The only thing I want to say is that the

These rubber earplugs will pay off!

I bought Mr. Tuffy Bicycle for his Giant Defy Advanced after he was frustrated with flat tires. In the high deserts of southern California, small spikes called goatheads are everywhere and a threat to road bikes. I averaged a flat tire for every alternate ride before I finally got frustrated and started looking for solutions. Since ordering these tires I have clocked up 500 miles before my first tire blew out. So all in all a great buy. Fitting these tires isn't too bad and can be done on…

Some are stopped. Best in Tires and Tubes

I bought this for my RadRover. I have a lot of goat heads on the side of the road on my way to work. This was annoying as it interfered with my commute. So I got them hoping to stop the trend. A week later I got an apartment. The main difference was that this apartment was the size of a tiny hole. Draining the water took several hours. It still hurt. But this pinhole is pretty easy to patch. Which was not the case with previous punctures. I think fat tires are generally difficult to patch…

Easy to pierce with standard push pin

I bought Tuffy 29 x 3.1 MR liner. They were 3.5 inches wide (which is what I want) but didn't look fat at all! To test them with our dried mesquite thorns and our goat heads here in the desert, I took a standard thumbtack and gently poked the liner: THAT WAS JUST! Almost no resistance. Does the description say it prevents punctures from spikes, glass and road debris? Riders who go hundreds or thousands of miles without a flat tire, but even my Mr. Tuffy 29 x 2.5-3, which looked a lot fatter…

Looks good but falls off on the first ride.

More or less a patch that covers the entire tire. Great concept right? Well, not really.1. They are very difficult to center and tighten. If it's not in the middle and doesn't go under the tire but in one of the sides, what's the point? 2. Once you have it centered on the tube you now need to place it on the rim to keep it or the partially inflated tube from falling off. A little glue will go a long way here.3. There was a small section I couldn't sit up straight no matter how much fuss I made.

No flats in 6000 miles, but lots of flats

While the next review was for regular weight liners, I haven't had any flats on the Ultra Lites either. Will update the mileage increases. So far so good. Did Cross Florida twice (167 miles) with no punctures but to be honest the tires looked really good afterwards so I'm not sure the liners passed the test. Will be updated as mileage increases. Update: 1230 miles no problem. I got pinched by hitting something on the road, but the holes (yes, 2!) were caused by the spoke holes through the rim…
