Secure and Childproof: MSR's Child-Resistant Replacement Fuel Bottle Cap Review

Based on my observations, the child-resistant feature on this replacement fuel bottle is a complete failure. The cap is difficult to align and lock into place, making it almost useless in preventing children from accessing the fuel. However, the size and durability of the bottle itself is a pro, but ultimately not worth the safety risk.

I ordered this new cover to replace the old one which had a worn o-ring. The new lid is childproof and has the same functionality as the old one. Act!

Suitable. Lost a cap, ordered this one, found my old cap a week later, threw away an old bottle with a leaking cap a year ago and could have used a spare to fix the old model. Haha.
