Big problems with gas caps

I bought them for spare fuel tanks on my MC. I ran out of gas while driving through the desert and pulled out a bottle to make sure there was enough fuel in the tank to get to the gas station. The hat was so tight that I could hardly take it off and put it back on because it was too swollen. Return to the drawing board to get spare fuel.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good alternative to child resistant caps

I have used old caps and really don't like the new child resistant caps. They are very difficult to remove when you put on gloves or mittens and they don't have an eyelet to attach to a backpack or lanyard. I bought some of these old (and better) caps and will be upgrading all of my MSR fuel tanks.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • empty

only 4 stars because it is expensive.

Much better than what you get when you buy a bottle. The one that came with the fight broke. This one holds up well. I don't think this one will slow down. It is as it should be, well made. just because I don't have to buy a replacement and because of the 4 star price. Next. Perfect!:)

Pros
  • The best in his niche
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Not suitable for Primus bottles.

I know this is an MSR bottle cap, but there's no reason MSR would make their threads any different than other brands' threads. They deliberately made the neck of the bottle 0.7 mm larger so that their caps cannot be replaced with caps from other brands. Revain has the best price for this cap but $7 for a small piece of plastic just isn't fair, the main reason for buying this cap is to replace it with the child resistant cap that comes with all new bottles these days. What is wrong with these…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • weak

Big Brother should just let me buy what I wanted to start with.

This cap MUST be included with every new MSR fuel bottle. Thanks big brother! - (complete sarcasm of course). This cap is the same as the caps that came with all MSR bottles except they are dark gray and if I remember correctly the old caps were black. If I have one negative thing to say, it's that I don't like being forced to buy 'safe' caps (which may not be safe at all) when buying a new MSR fuel bottle and then I have to spend more money to get them the cap I wanted to start with. but it's…

ITS WORTH IT ! for spare parts

The new caps with child protection are ridiculous. It was definitely worth it for me to get them before they were all gone. Childproof caps are hard to use, especially when it's cold or you're wearing gloves (think snow camping where ONLY white gas works, so you're GUARANTEED to be working with your fuel bottles a lot!) Another silly problem with childproof caps is that they're for white gas can be used. This is of course dangerous and needs to be handled safely at home, whether the lid is…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • modernity

I'm tired of spending $30 on big bottles of MSR fuel. One day I was in a thrift store and saw a large SIGG aluminum water bottle. Since the SIGG is machined from a single piece of aluminum, including the threads, I paid $1.99, took it home, filled it halfway with white gas, and hooked up my Primus pump to it, and it fit perfectly. I gave it 100 pumps and let it sit overnight and it ran without a drop of fuel. I then grabbed my modified MSR Firefly stove, which I screwed onto the valve to use…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some nuances
