Great product: Bike Lube

I love this product but for some reason it was opened and part of the product disappeared the first time I used it (see picture). I suspect that's why it was cheaper than what I expected from the seller I bought from. Turning on the UV light is a good way to verify that the coating is correct. After cleaning and dyeing the chain, I used the product, waited at least an hour as directed on the tube, and was on my way. The chain was quiet and shifted much better than when it was dry and dirty.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Works as it should.

I've been using it for a few months after several chain degreasings. In terms of performance, I can't say it's much different than the Finish Line dry chain lube I've used before. Both products appear to be about the same in terms of attracting and retaining mud and dirt from the road. I really didn't notice any difference in noise reduction between the two products, and I'd argue that any difference in transmission efficiency would be so small that you'd never notice it. I will say that I like

A good thing! fit for sport

I had a very bad experience with Extreme Purple which cost me the chain. What followed was an even worse experience with a business owner who told me everything I was doing was wrong. EVERYONE. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Luckily he was wrong. I switched to Muk Off and my experience was great. It is easy and economical to use. I have a silent transmission and it lasts a week which for me is 200-250 miles. It may take longer, but I clean and oil after a Sunday ride. The previous 400 mile lube lasted…

Excellent clean lube for dry conditions

I drive along the San Diego coast every day, so the climate here is dry and sandy. I have previously used Dumonde Tech Light Lube. It ran smoothly and was pretty solid, but the gearbox got dirty quickly. I've been using Muc Off C3 for about a month. On the positive side, the chain runs true and the entire transmission stays very clean for a long time. However, you must keep an eye on the chain to make sure it has enough lube. If you get caught in the rain - even a light drizzle on a foggy…

Pros

  • A few little things

Ideal for dry conditions.

Excellent lubrication, clean application, excellent performance. until the rain catches you. The benefits are then quickly washed away. I don't start my travels by getting wet, but sometimes it happens. I firmly believe that once dry this is the best lube I have ever used. Other stamps I've used are gold, green, and white. all have their advantages: simple and reliable daily movements. If your game has been taken to the next level, if you take care of your gear and tune it to your preferences…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Worth every penny - Sport

I've been using C3 for a little over three months. I have tried different lubricants for my road bike over the years; some popular, others lesser known. I average about 150 miles a week and diligently clean my chain once a week. I ride in the Rocky Mountains but I rarely ride in bad weather as I'm not on the bike December through February and don't want to risk thunderstorms/lightning during my riding months. When it comes to cleaning, my chain and cassette have always been very dirty, no…

What to Expect "Designed for dry and dusty conditions "

No, it's not at all. This material stinks in dry and dusty conditions. Basically you put it on and it's gone within 30 minutes and you sound like you're a triathlete riding around on your noisy, pe-soaked bikes. Seriously, within 10 miles of applying it, my chain sounds like garbage. And what about their marketing/labelling? The bottle and the headline of the ad say "Chain Lube Dry," but just below their little chart with an indicator on it, it says it's in the "Wet-Wet" zone. Has it gotten…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Refurbished

Best bike chain lube I've ever used (65 years experience)

So-called dry lubes tend to leak. You can lubricate the chain in seconds but you will make a mess and lose 75% of the product. This ceramic dry lubricant is the perfect balance between liquid and gel. It comes in a plastic bottle with a very long dropper applicator that makes it easy to apply exactly one drop to each chain link. (Photo #1) Start with the main link and after about 112 casts you're back to square one. Spin the chain for a minute so that the lubricant gets into all the internal…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home

  • Questionable purchase for seniors
