These are not 2 core removers BUYER WARNING

Very misleading picture! Let me believe there were 2 kernel removals and this is only 1. You should really consider changing this image. I'm considering returning this item and buying elsewhere just as a matter of principle.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Misleading title image

The product itself is fine but I found it extremely mean as the product image showed two removable valve elements as part of 32 parts but the actual product description only lists one. We ordered these as we thought there were two based on the product image at 32.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

Great tool best tool for air conditioners

Wow! Really good crazy and great price including caps and extra valves. I'm leaking a Schroeder reading on a capacitor bank. This tool solves the problem of valve replacement without charge loss. Highly recommended if you are not afraid to work with the air conditioning. There is also YouTube how to use it.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Non automatic

good tool at a good price

I like this tool. However, I have encountered valve cores that cannot be removed with this tool due to its length. If you feel like the valve core is completely removed, but don't want to close the ball valve on the tool, don't try to force it! The lever should turn easily. If the lever seems to be sticking, the valve core is probably still in the way. If you force it, a situation can arise when you lose all freon in the system.

Cons
  • So far so good

Absolute junk.

When I examined the tool I saw a protruding part of the stem seal. Further investigation showed that up to this point I could see daylight through the array. This thing should be a dangerous disaster if used. This would certainly allow pressurized r134a coolant to spray back at me once I tightened it on the service fitting. I'm sure of it because I could only blow with my mouth through the top part where the stem enters.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good price, the price corresponds to the quality.

Subtle machining on the tool. The rear seal on the piston is a captive O-ring that does not seal well. So you lose some coolant when you pull on the valve core. The tool end of the piston is held and securely fastened by a roll pin. The replacement caps are made of real brass and are well made. Replacement valves are of acceptable quality. For the price, this is good value for money. But keep in mind that the price matches the quality. If you need a tool to get the job done quickly, this is a…

Works, requires some mods

I found that it doesn't work right away - the hole through the valve is too small for the extractor and cores to easily pass through. I rebored it and then it worked (the seals are in a separate part of the tool so it will still withstand both pressure up to 300 pounds and vacuum down to 200 microns even after the ball valve has popped a little was drilled out). The core is removed and in the end I used pliers to pinch the part of the handle that goes around the core so it holds better. Good…
