I bought three of these and am very happy with the work of each of them.

I have three classic Fords (2) 1965 and (1) 1969 and each of them is equipped with this starter. I paired it with (2) AOD transmissions and a T-5 transmission. Amazing product for the price. One of these has been installed for almost 3 years and is like new.

Ford Mini Starter for Starters and Parts

I used it to replace a 3124 starter on a 1968 Mustang 302 that was rebuilt to a T5 with manual transmission, it has a 157 tooth flywheel and this thing worked great, much easier a new location around the starter. You just need to move the starter cable from one side of the solenoid to the other and add the cable from the starter to the solenoid and you're done.

The perfect upgrade for your early Foxbody Mustang

Upgraded my 1988 Mustang 5.0 to this starter and am very pleased with the results. The torque is much higher than the original. It turned instantly and all I had to do was run the release cable to the starter solenoid with 12 gauge copper wire (researching how this starter works on old fox bodies) and yes it works for both 5 speed and for car . Don't spend twice as much on the same starter when it comes to performance or conversions like this one, tested to 16Nm of torque (or so the test paper…

DO NOT BUY THIS STARTER

My mechanic installed this starter right out of the box and it didn't work. I took it to a local shop to have it checked and it was found that the entire unit was faulty. Waste of time and money and the added frustration of having to buy a new starter from the parts store. My old starter motor broke but this one worked, it didn't work and was a major inconvenience. The box it came in had the part number on the old school starter so I couldn't even link the correct part number for the new one…

Works great and is great value

I was skeptical as the price was so low for an entry level mini size. (I paid about $300 for one of those years for my EB). However, replacing my Duralast starters is obsolete even though they come with a lifetime warranty. It's been about 4 years and this starter has never failed. I have this set to 351 W/AOD with a compression of 10.5:1 on a 67 F100. I live in Dallas. So it can get hot but don't even pull in August after a good hot bath. Offers amazing headroom compared to OEM design. What…
