Very high quality water stone

Thin enough to finish polishing any knife blade even if they say you want crazy little stones like 8000 or 12000 or something. This won't remove chips from the blade, but water can cut a little to give your favorite knife a nice edge. It doesn't work without water. The stone is very soft and breaks down into a fine slurry that is actually used for cutting and polishing. That makes this one better than many others. It will not scratch or damage the blade. But great stone. fits whetstones

The stone grinds very smooth and makes an excellent intermediate stone for polishing/sharpening. The stand works really well and doesn't seem to slip too much even on a wet countertop. I can feel the quality when sharpening and it doesn't seem to take much effort. My only reason not to give it five stars is because of the thinness of the stone. In the photo the stone appears to be thicker than what I received. This leads me to believe that the stone will not last as long as I initially thought.

It feels great and even gives a little bit of feedback that you don't normally get with these abrasives. For a 1000 grit stone it leaves a VERY good shine, too nice if you ask me. Let's say you're used to using something like the King 1000 brick and you've tried using that instead of your 1k. You…
