Very reliable and very handy

In the foreword I would like to note that the design of this unit has changed since I bought mine a few months ago. This is a great security lock. It was relatively easy to install and feels pretty solid. My only complaint is that the two legs of the U-Bar aren't exactly parallel. Therefore, you must carefully align the two door panels and the jambs. This problem can be fixed in the new version.

Pros
  • Door Hardware and Locks
Cons
  • So far so good

Works perfectly Buy other screws

All right. Difficult to determine the right size to purchase as you need to make sure you don't put a screw in the sliding glass. The screws supplied are terrible and easier to install with metal screws. At a cost of over $25 per sliding door, which the company installs for you, we can use them for a long time. The only claim to cheap screws. Go to your local hardware store for better quality screws (stainless steel self drilling).

Pros
  • Fly screen door hardware
Cons
  • Negative impression

Latch without guard

This product does not match the image on Revain or the product packaging. The receiver has two horns for receiving the breech. The problem is that the bolt only goes through the upper horn. I gave it three stars because it works for my needs (and therefore three 'good' stars), but I would give it one star if I had to offer any level of security. It would be an easy fix (and therefore a five star product) if the manufacturer lengthened the bolt barrel to allow both horn penetration.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Does not fit all
