waste of money! Broke in the first week!

Complete nonsense! We bought this litter box to replace one of the older generation models. These automatic scoop boxes have cheap parts that will come loose and prevent the rake assembly from completing its cycle. This particular model started going haywire after the first week making the auto clean/reset useless! We bought the exact cat litter recommended for this cat box and have been using it since day one. Stay away from this product!

Don't buy this! It is a trap!

I've had this robot box for two months now and I can honestly say it takes more time and maintenance than a standard box. It gets clogged all the time because my cats throw trash in the rake path. The chain and gears are clogged with dirt soaked in urine and are not easy to clean. Right now I'm just trying to get $150 out before going back to the standard box. I thought it would save time and make the daily work of assembling the box easier. NO! Save and get a standard box!

Too small and this is the new and "improved " version 2 Multicat

Too small and this is version 2 Multicat. I want to make a video of the baptism. My little BG is lovely - I picked it up and put it in. She grumbled "I don't know". Then she jumped up like a good soldier, missing the crate completely and only managed to hit the switch. The rest was in the shop window. And to make matters worse, the motion sensor didn't work. I put everything in a large plastic box with high sides, lined with pads and hope it at least catches poop. Someone please make a better…

This is a self-cleaning box.

Trash Can I've been using LitterMaids since they first appeared in the 80's. I want to use cheap replacement fill, not space age junk, which means you're replacing crystals, granules, or pads - very $$$. With proper care (not overfilling) this box should last for several years. NOTE: This is NOT a self-cleaning box. This is a self-cleaning box. All the solids — feces and urine sticking together — end up in the trash cans. Every 1-2 weeks you can open the tray, throw anything smaller in the…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Hard to say

I just moved into the apartment and decided it was time for the machine to control odors as I can no longer leave the box in the garage. I have two cats. I read the reviews, and this model came out on top for being odor-free, making it into the top 3. I have tried my best not to buy Litter Robot as $500 seems like too much. Long story short, I've never picked up as much poop or touched as much dirty junk in the last 10 days as I have in my entire life! A big box for several cats is stupid. You…

Don't overfill with junk

I bought an earlier model from the same brand and this later model is quieter and slightly better, but I'm still generally disappointed with the build quality of the moving parts. I still have the old device plugged into it and although it's not a year old I only have to run it twice a day because it's sort of dead. On both models, the gears begin to slip before the engine reaches the overtorque point and when it stalls and breaks in. It's important to follow directions for the amount of litter

Broke within a month.

For those of you who don't know, Littermaid and Nature's Miracle have the same parent company. I bought my first Littermaid electric cat litter 17 years ago when I adopted my cat from a shelter. He used it straight away and it has cleaned brilliantly for 5 years with very few faults. It was noisy but it worked and cleaned and made the cat litter process great. If it crashed or overflowed, our cat would let us know. At the age of 17 we bought 4 Littermaid electric trays and watched the product…

It will be very helpful as you read on.

I have owned Littermaid for over 15 years. The originals worked quite well, the new blue version is much smaller and not as good, but quieter. With that in mind, I decided to try this version of Nature's Miracle's Multi-Cat. Not only do we have a lot of cats in our family, but we also volunteer and help local animal rescuers. This leads to an insane amount of litter and litter boxes. A few years ago I decided to make it easy for myself and bought a 4-legged table with telescopic legs. At the…

Weak engine and sump too small

I have several kittens (3 kittens: 2 x 6lbs and 1 x 8lbs) and 1 adult cat of 10lbs. So I chose this self cleaning unit to better control the waste as there is so much of it. It's not just a box. But as far as I know, this autocooperator is really just an expensive manual litter box. There are several design flaws. 1) The pan is too shallow and needs to be deeper because the bottom is half an inch out of reach for the auto scoop. The compartment only allows for maybe 1.5 inches of debris. A…
