📱 Optimized NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner and Digital Filing System for PC and Mac Review

I was very disappointed with the Neat mobile document scanner. I liked the idea of scanning receipts on the go, but would have to buy a software subscription to use the scanner. No Bueno. I bought a scanner - it would be nice if the subscription was optional, but it's not. If the product description said it required purchasing a subscription, I would never buy it. It turned out to be a bunch of goodwill.

I was so excited to get this so I could finally organize all my receipts. Unfortunately, it didn't even turn on. I called support and spent over 2 hours connecting it to my computer and working on the install. Eventually Rod told me to restart the computer and it should work. I rebooted and you know what? Nothing. Rod recalled - and they're closed! The next day he didn't even contact me to see if it was working. Bad bad customer service. Please save money and choose another brand.

The Neat scanner did a great job of scanning my receipts into the Neat PC program. It was easy to use, had OCR recognition to recognize vendor, date and price, and generated very useful PDF reports. DOOR LIMIT. All other scanner providers offer desktop software with which you can easily create at least PDF files, for example. Terrible customer service. Dealing with the phone prompts required to contact a living person is very tiring. In the end I never reached a live person and when prompted they said "Have a nice day" and hung up. My problem with this product is that it never worked. Terrible product. Disappointing software. The scanned images will be returned from cloud forever to fill in the information of what you scanned. Half the time it doesn't fill out all the information, so you'll have to do it manually. So what's the point? It's just a waste of time. And more often than not, the scan is completely lost and you have to scan again and again. So no rush. You have to sit and wait to make sure it recognizes the scan and returns before proceeding.
