MY ADVICE DO NOT BUY. IF YOU RECEIVE BAD ONE, DON'T EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE. BECAUSE IT DOES NOT EXIST.

The router was fine but I had problems with customer service. The only reason I'm writing a review is for Motorola's customer service. The router description says the manufacturer will service it for 90 days. When I had problems with the router I called Motorola and their service was outsourced except I could barely understand the agent. On the first call he said it would take a couple of weeks. for the router to recognize your computer. When I called back later they told me it only has a 30โ€ฆ

repaired within 2 months and out of service, no square trade warranty

Overall I like Netgear products and am currently using the r6700. However, this cable modem c6300 is scrap. Maybe because it has been restored. It turns on and connects to the ISP, but then quits rebooting and reconnecting. This happens repeatedly without a break. In fact, it never works again. The restore process failed here and I now suspect all refurbished products on Amazon. Very disappointed. Also bought the Square Trade backup plan. I contacted them for a refund and received no responseโ€ฆ

Faulty hardware

Terrible, it took us 3 days of troubleshooting and fighting with xfinity customer support to discover that the hardware was faulty. Eventually we returned it and bought a new model NETGEAR Cable Modem WiFi Router Combo C6250 (not refurbished). It took us a minute at most to set it up and get it up and running. I hate experiences like this, destroys my confidence in refurbished products. Although the C6250 is great. I only pay 175 mb/s and get 203 mb/s readings. Sweet.

The modem arrived quickly and in excellent condition, like new. Bands, 2.4 and 5 GHz. I have 200Mbps internet with Comcast/Xfinity but the download and upload speeds were pretty slow on both radios. The wired ethernet connection was fine. I spent an hour with tech support but they couldn't improve it and finally admitted the problem was with the modem. A few words about tech support: Contrary to what some reviewers say, 90 days FREE EXISTS. All you have to do is find it on the Netgear websiteโ€ฆ

I had to register it with xfinity and their first reaction is that the repaired device must be bad. But if you have patience

I was afraid I would buy a refurbished modem/router. And I almost panicked when the default password connected to WiFi was "slowunit202". But everything worked without any problems. It works well. I had to register it with xfinity and their first reaction is that the repaired device must be bad. But if you are patient, you can do it. I am changing my rating again and removing 3 stars. It started making a faint noise while loading. Many websites have pointed out that the noise indicates a badโ€ฆ
