I bought this wifi hotspot to give my wife's laptop broadband internet access throughout the house. I think it must be an 802.11 bug that these things have such poor range. My dumb 900mhz cordless phone is reaching my neighbor's house, but this thing won't go from the office to the living room (I could probably route infrared from the office to the living room) without dropping 74% signal strength.
