Good unit and price for moving

I'm really only posting this because the first one I had broke and I want to save someone else the headache. Noyafa's official Youtube video shows a patch cord test connecting two RJ45 connectors on the top of the device. On the NF-388, the video ports are called Loopback and Main. The two units I received have the main and port flashes on top. If the manual was written by someone who speaks English, it would be a lot easier to understand. So I turned to Youtube. If you want to test the patch…

Good product for the price of a basic tester

But it's not a Fluke. Distance measurement is a joke. The break feature that supposedly shows which side the problem is on usually just shows X's on both ends, even when it works. So as a simple cable tester it works, but all the advanced features don't work. For the price with 8 remotes it's worth it. Another really annoying point: batteries drain when not in use. So leave a 9v battery there and it will die after days of thawing, considering both sensor and tester do this it can get expensive.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Better than I expected

I took a chance before spending 10 times more on a name brand network tester. It's not Fluke, but not that bad. It looks cheap and the body is weird. prone to breakage in my opinion. As for testing. The wiremapper feature works great and all the extra remotes make it very handy. The scan function (sound) works great and seems to work fine even when the other end is connected to the switch. The pair length functions work. but the accuracy is far. It states that 1 foot of cable equals 1 meter. In
