Practical Riveting Tool

I have to maintain a small fleet of sailboats to keep my grandchildren afloat in our sailing program. Between 2 Optis, 2 Sunfish and 1420 I ended up needing a wide range of aluminum rivets. So far I've needed 4 repairs in the last 2 weeks and my new tool has stood the test of all. I recommend to everyone.

Okay, but there were problems

This is an honest product for the price. Easy to use and beautiful set with many advantages. However, while my rivets worked great with all the smaller rivets, I had trouble with the largest size. I made two attempts and on both attempts the broken barrel got stuck in the gun. Both times I had to disassemble the head and take out the rods. So if you have small jobs, that's great. But not so much for large orders!

Stuck, But Now Better

Exhaust stack is stuck First use. Pulled out and it stuck again. Spent a few hours getting it working. Sprayed lighted lube, hit with a hammer to unlock the jaws, then worked with more lube for a while. I would have sent it back but then it was needed. Originally was 1 star, then changed to 2 stars after I got it working. Update .After a few uses it has turned out to be fine just needed a bit of lubrication and I like the body and I like being able to change bits without tools. Rating increased

The rivet gun appears to be a quality hand tool product, I am happy with the tool.

The case was disappointing. Someone spent a lot of time and money on the case but left no space to store the rivets in the case. When I receive a new instrument, the first thing I do is make a box so that I can keep the instrument and related materials in one box. Either make a useful case or supply an instrument without a case and I can build my own. What makes the case great is that it has room for accessories like wrenches, product-specific tools, and room for common consumables. In this…
