Comfortable and stylish

Beautiful color and contrast of red and orange. Comfortable fit. Bought in a large selection. Extremely light weight. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • A great trail running shoe that offers traction, light weight and a low profile.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with narrow feet

Rate my review

The shoes appeared to be high quality shoes. The sizing was wrong, I always wear 12 men and it was at least 1 size smaller if not 1.5 sizes smaller, extra tight to wear.

Pros
  • The wide sizing option offers a comfortable and secure fit for men with wider feet.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with Achilles tendonitis

Excellent purchase! Highly recommended.

Shoes were tight at first. I untied the laces, it helped. They are very comfortable. Great grip when running on trails/woods etc. Thanks to Gore-Tex they keep my feet dry. I can't be happier with my purchase!

Pros
  • Really good shoes! Durable and lightweight. I ordered 1/2 size up and 1 size up and it fits perfectly.
Cons
  • Not recommended for people with plantar fasciitis.

Great product, a bit small

This is a great product but the shoes run a bit small. I usually wear 11-11.5 in dress shoes and other sneakers but I know New Balance runs small so I still have the 12.12 a little tight which actually works because I prefer to wear sneakers like this but be you carefully. Keep in mind the sizing and the fact that these shoes run a little small.

Pros
  • The shoe has a versatile design that easily transitions from trail to street.
Cons
  • Not recommended for people with hammer toes

Great shoes! the best in my rating

The product fits well, it took a few days to try on as it was snug on the first tries. The sole is comfortable and well padded. Probably as light as shoes can be. Haven't tested it yet, but I'm curious!

Pros
  • Great shoes and fit as expected. Ideal for trail running.
Cons
  • Almost no cushioning/sole material and no arch support at all. He runs barefoot with the same success.

A potentially great shoe that's held back by a small detail

This is a lightweight trail running shoe with an 8mm drop. Which I prefer as a slight overpronator, zero drops don't work for me. In my opinion, an important part of a trail running shoe is tongue padding, and more importantly, some sort of "tongue retention” design to prevent the tongue from slipping under the laces while running. This happens most often when you drive uphill and downhill. There isn't much padding or tongue support in this shoe. This causes the tongue to slide down and you end

  • Large selection

  • Weight

Wide not wide. Buy one size up

I have trusted Newbalance to make wide shoes and have bought many pairs of wide shoes from them over the years. The forerunner of this shoe is the Vazee Summit V2 which is perfect for my wide feet. Summit Unknown is too narrow. The shoe tag reads EE, and even the laces had a paper "Wide" tag. In addition, the shoes are one size smaller. It's a waste of time and money for everyone when Newbalance makes shoes that don't fit standard shoe sizes. Looks like I'll have to look for my wide shoes at…

Excellent traction. Cast beautifully. And big sizes!

Searched everywhere to find good shoes for my relatively wide feet (size 2e) to use in my first spartan rave. I visited a few REI running stores and bought 5 pairs here in Revein. These were the only ones that fit, only went half a size and got a size 2e. The shoes were fantastic in the mud and on slippery trails. Excellent traction. Cast beautifully. I couldn't have finished without her.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Very responsive and durable trail running shoe

I live in the Sonoran Desert and only run on difficult, rocky trails. This shoe fits like a sock (the inner tongue is attached to the sides of the sole) and is very snug, although a little more difficult to put on than shoes with a loose tongue. It's light and very reactive. They're comfortable on small to medium rocks despite being lightweight, and are one of the most durable running shoes I've run in. I usually run 300 miles in them while I broke the Peregrines in 80 miles (ripped upper on…

  • Ideal for a small home

Great trail running

I've waited a long time for them to come out. The first run I did was 8 miles and I had no problems. I was concerned about the tongue based on other reviews and didn't like the feel of the tongue when I put the shoes on but they held up great. The second run I did was ten miles on very technical trails and they were excellent. They drained really well after crossing the rivers and their weight was exactly what I expected.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • So-so

Flat insoles - no support

These shoes match the description however my son and I were shocked at the complete lack of support in the shoe. The insole is completely flat. Unfortunately, we didn't discover this until two weeks into the cross-country season when he was limping badly. Our mistake. We've had such good experiences with New Balance shoes in the past that we didn't even think to look at the insole. Change shoes (thanks to a very helpful local running shop) and he's running like he used to. On the plus side, if…
