Malfunction? Best in Kitchenware & Gadgets

I have no idea what's wrong with this thing. I washed it, put it in a box, and when I tried to use it after 2 weeks, it was black, like soot from a fire. It came off my hands and only came off after I washed my hands with Dawn Cleanser! I couldn't get everything out of the slicer, was so angry I just threw it away. It's kind of scary that an ordinary item in a box of ordinary kitchen utensils turns black!

Egg Slicer for Graters Peelers & Slicers

From day one I couldn't open the top of this cut all the way so the end of the egg shrank when I put the lid on it, it didn't open smoothly either. Then, without reading any other reviews, I put it in the dishwasher and everything I touched peeled off the coating. I tried hand washing it and peeling off the black but it stayed on the cutting machine. Complete junk, went in the trash.

Not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.

Not dishwasher safe. I got it brand new and before first use I put it in the dishwasher to clean it (like I do with most things I buy that are washable) and it had some sort of chemical reaction with the detergent/ the heat, and the finish turned anthracite grey. paint and peeled off everything it touched (my hands, paper, towel, napkin, other utensils, etc.). I am returning the item and purchasing a non-aluminum item.

Do not wash this in the dishwasher

I bought a metal egg slicer to be strong and last a long time. It shone like chrome. Nowadays, when there are so many pussies, I clean everything that comes in the house. Especially something that comes from unknown places. I unpacked the food slicer and put it in the dishwasher. When it came out, the shiny paint, not the chrome, was washed away, leaving a lead-like finish. It was not pleasant to touch. I threw it straight in the trash and ordered a plastic one. Don't fall for this product…

Not good for mushrooms

Maybe better for eggs, but not the best for mushrooms. I don't eat eggs and only buy them with mushrooms. It works, but before the mushroom is sliced, it basically smashes it and the mushroom juice comes out (I didn't even know that could happen). It also doesn't always cut straight through the fungus, so the wires have fungal skins that are difficult to peel and remove. Finally, it's not big enough to hold larger mushrooms, so sometimes I have to cut a mushroom in half or quarters to even use…
