Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I just bought it, but it’s not possible to use it yet — I’m still not very good at photos, but I guess that people manage to take photos with penny lenses, but this one I think is better and buying several different ones is expensive and physically inconvenient — I decided to replace everything with them! will be used on Nikon D90

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad! I am not satisfied with the quality of the product.

If you take a new one, thousand, while if you want to sell it, it was designed at a time when modern 20 megapixels, so it makes no sense to use it on any modern camera, or d90 and got the lens for 15 years for your sensor in terms of image detail.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

For more than a year I used only this gl in conjunction with 300 One for all occasions, it' plan to buy other lenses, after using light (respectively expensive) lenses, and 85 at 1.4, saving up for 17-55 2.8 only expensive :) Summary: for beginners - good, for continuing - not enough.

    Pros
    • Versatility, that'
    Cons
    • It's hard to say, over time, the trunk begins to play, dust, Yes, it is still difficult to sell for adequate money.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall it's not bad, but I expected more.

Its pros: There is no alternative. An ideal reporter on a hike, light, of sufficient quality. Sigama 18-125 - smokes. Has some cons Covered in a year + ultrasonic motor, and WR worked. Stretched out with a guarantee of laziness, as a result, the repair stood at 8000r. But I still use and will continue to use.

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

A very handy amateur lens. Quite universal. Take pictures of barbecues in nature or a trip to the pyramids. Even portraits at the long end in good light turn out to be suitable. With a lack of light and indoors, high-quality photos cannot be obtained without a good flash - retribution for the versatility of focal lengths. I enjoyed them before acquiring fast fixes. Now there is no desire to put 18-200 on the camera.

    Pros
    • focal lengths Stabilizer Good autofocus well made
    Cons
    • Flat non-living picture Barrel on the short end not realistic to sell Price

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

An ideal lens as a staff member when traveling and traveling, when there is neither desire nor space to carry a set of glasses with you. Nikon has two such "bestsellers": Nikkor 18-200mm (for DX format) Nikkor 28-300mm (for FX format) In fact, that says it all. The best travel zoom for DX is this lens! Do not listen to anyone who talks about his significant shortcomings. They are not here! Well, it's not worth comparing it with fixes either.

    Pros
    • focal length range light weight ease of use VRII works great there is a latch
    Cons
    • a bit dark, but you shouldn't demand more from f3.5 - 5.6. With this in mind, the camera can always be configured as needed. Or, at the very least, use a flash. Some wrote that the zoom moves out arbitrarily . No matter how you shook it, nothing went anywhere))

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

The previous version broke down in a year, exchanged under warranty, did not notice the difference. Excellent travelzoom, filmed only for them for a while. Telephoto portraits are good. In terms of quality and convenience, a very good option, I recommend it. Its pros: Sharpness at a wide angle, fast autofocus, excellent stub, good picture, good workmanship, versatility. Has some cons Noticeable distortion at wide angle, loss of sharpness and contrast at telephoto (design features)

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

I have been using it for about 10 years, on the third carcass (D40, D5200, D7200), I use it as a staff member. Sharp enough, although a little worse than fixes. Decent bokeh. Of course, the aperture ratio is too small, but the “stub” helps out well, shutter speeds up to 1/10 are practically without lubrication. Very good for "reportage" portraits, you can shoot unnoticed by the "model". At the short end, it gives distortion, which is easily corrected by Photoshop.

    Pros
    • Range, decent bokeh
    Cons
    • The "trunk" leaves when the device is tilted down, although it is difficult to call this a particularly critical drawback.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

In fact, it is the only universal zoom available for Nikon, so although some people like to talk about its shortcomings, there is, in fact, no alternative to it. Even if replaced by two less universal ones. For example, this lens can be replaced with two of these: 1. Nikon 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 2. Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Both of these lenses are not brighter than 18-200, the picture is also not without flaws, the price is the same in total, the weight is heavier in total. And try to change the…

    Pros
    • Large range of focal lengths, fast autofocus, fairly sharp picture.
    Cons
    • It turned out to be a very unusual weight. When moving from a smaller zoom, the difference of (only) 150 grams turned out to be very sensitive.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

This lens is great for capturing people on the street or on the beach without asking - it's very long-range and gives excellent image quality. Recommended for anyone who likes to shoot from afar but doesn't want to re-fasten their lenses. With its pros. Great versatile lens. I have been shooting for personal purposes for several years now with a Nikon D40X camera and do not change purchased lenses at all. At first, I was upset because of the noise and blurring at the far end, but then I…

I knew these shortcomings when I bought it, but I took it deliberately, since before that there was a top Lumix soap dish (from 18x). Naturally after the purchase was happy as an elephant. Feels like I bought a thing. It is absolutely pointless to advise someone to take or not to take, because different people perceive the quality of the image in completely different ways - someone needs sharp, someone needs colors, someone needs bokeh, etc. Here you need to understand that not everyone will…

    Pros
    • full coverage of focal workmanship stub 2 autofocus speed the weight
    Cons
    • dark the trunk leaves after some time of operation

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unsatisfactory quality, I wont buy it anymore.

If you take a new one, this is the most senseless investment in photographic equipment. The price in official stores is about 50 thousand, while if you want to sell it, then used. it will cost 20 at best. The model is old, it was designed at a time when modern 20 megapixels on the sensor were unattainable. The resolution does not exceed 15 megapixels, so it makes no sense to use it on any modern camera, especially considering the price. If you have a d80 or d90 and got the lens for 15…

    Pros
    • universal focal lengths, good build
    Cons
    • old model, which produces detail less than 20 MPix pretty heavy very overpriced new lens

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a bad product, but you can do better.

Miracles do not happen! For a large range of focal lengths, you have to pay with other parameters - poor sharpness, vignetting, aperture. It will be convenient for all photography lovers who do not like to carry a set of optics with them and shoot in the "genre" "I was here", "How we ate barbecue" and the like. Pumped up the sharpness. In almost the entire range, I lost to all the lenses that I used. The maximum print size with more or less acceptable quality is A4

    Pros
    • Advantages come down to the range of focal lengths.
    Cons
    • The trunk leaves. Optical distortions.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

The lens was on d40, the photos are not bad, for a start it was enough for 100%. Then I moved it to the d7000 and then its potential was revealed, the photos are clear, bright. And do not compare zooms with fixes or fast zooms. Among zooms with an aperture ratio of 3.5 or more, this one is in the top three leaders. If there is an opportunity to take it, then take it without hesitation, the glass is in demand, if you don’t like something, you can always easily sell it.

    Pros
    • versatility! sharp, if there is not enough light, buy a normal flash. bokeh is excellent at the long end.
    Cons
    • A bit dark, but what to demand from 3.5-5.6. Buy a flash. Rubber bands fall off over time. autofocus began to creak. (5 years of active use)

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Guys, no matter what anyone says here, sparkling with hundreds of "smart" words about this lens . I want to say this . the lens is very good. For an ordinary family, for vacation trips, for taking pictures at home and on the street. This lens is for you! It has a very optimal range of focal lengths. I have finally found what I have been looking for for so long. And don't listen to these "wise men" who find fault with trifles and try to speak the language of photographers. Yes, this is not an…

    Pros
    • Great lens
    Cons
    • sometimes the trunk comes out, but this can be avoided by not forgetting to fix it with a special lock. The optics are heavy.
