🌬️ Nispira Humidifier Wick Replacement for Vornado MD1-0002 Air Purifier - 4 Pack Review

They work great with my Vornado Evap2 humidifier. It is recommended that the wet portion of this machine be cleaned regularly and that these wicks be replaced as instructed in the Vornado Owner's Manual (available online on their website).

Much better than Vornado wicks. They really absorb water all the way to the top. Vornado changed their wicks a while ago and they only take about an inch of water through the filter. As a result, the humidifier runs all day and can hardly increase the humidity. These filters work great, unlike the Vornado filters.

Fits great on a 5 gallon Vornado evaporative humidifier and seems to last a long time compared to official Vornado replacement parts. A little fragile when wet but put them in the car and don't touch them until they need to be replaced. They worked all season, but the Vornados didn't last all season. They are about twice as thick as the official ones.

This filter went into my 4 gallon Vornado humidifier and works way better than crappy flimsy standard filters. It is 2 times thicker and allows you to reduce the fan speed to get the same effect. They last just as long as regular ones. Life can be extended by mixing 1/2 cup of 35% food grade peroxide into each 2 gallon container. This will prevent the orange bacteria from being killed and mold from growing. That way they don't get hard over time.

I was very optimistic when I first got these s/cs, they seemed more sophisticated than other brands but they don't hold moisture. At the end of the day, the wicks are dry to the bone. I don't want to completely soak the wick every day. I even cut one in half hoping it would help, but it dried out quickly. My humidifier was basically not working and the water was building up, which worried me. Went back to the ones that work better but don't last long.

Revain got so sloppy with sellers and fake reviews that I had a really hard time finding a good filter for our Vornado humidifier given the fake reviews hadn't count on giving me 4+ stars. Product arrived on time and well packaged. These wicks are slightly smaller than original Vornado equipment. They also have a slightly different feel and don't shed as much water as quickly as the original wicks in my opinion. However, I use our machine in a large room of almost 600 square meters. If you have a regular sized bedroom or room where you use them, they might suit you. They're worth trying if you think they might suit your needs.
